WIP Heller - Modelex 1/72 bf 109G

This is my Work In Progress on a Heller bf 109 rebox by an Argentinean plastic toy company called Modelex. They are known in Argentina for offering old Heller kits like their 1/72 Spitfire, Zero, Draken, an assortment of Migs and my favorite, the TF-104s. Usually available dirt cheap at the big super market chains, they offer an affordable entry level option to kids.

The only real issue with them, aside from being super old molds, is that the decals are useless… and I really do mean USELESS, so I’ll have to resort to the spare box for that.

My idea was to try an improve as much of this BF 109 G kit by using good old techniques and not spend any $$$ in aftermarkets for it. It has been a fun project so far.

Truth is we don't know where he came from. Some says he was a Japanese model manufacturer experiment that went wrong... too realistically bad mouthed for a toy. Others would say Chuck Norris was visiting Airfix in the old days when he somehow got injured by the machinery and some of his blood dropped on the injection machine just when this soldier was being made. All we know is he came to wreak havoc among those who don't believe in the only true scale.
