Recommended sites - pile of 1/72 kits on the bench

Sites usually visited by the Braille Sergeant and that are recommended for all Braille troopers out there.

Forums, personal sites and blogs:

Comercial sites:

  • Orange 3D
Photo etched accessories for both Military models and Sci-Fi. If Jeeps are your thing you need to check their improvement sets. They also run a nice blog.
  • Condor Decals
Water/slide decals -plus the occasional resin bit- with a lot of exotic subjects for both armor and aircraft. Great service, worth checking out.
  • Mike Grant Decals
Producer of “killer” ALPS printed decals in all major scales. Its Italian “Smoke Ring” decals are more than recommended!
  • E.T. Models
Resin and Photo-etched accesories for Military models. Check out our review on two of their E72 sets here in Blitz72.com

Scale Modeling sites:

  • Jakub Cikhart’s Desert Storm site
This is THE definitive reference for those who model and study the Desert Storm airwar.
  • Alex Clark’s Small Scale Armour
Alex is to small scale armour models what David Beckham is to football. He has built some breathtaking braille scale models that can easily pass for 1/35 or better.
  • Henk of Holland
Henk runs an impressive site with a truckload of information regarding small scale AFV kits. Almost every kit manufacturer and kit ever made are catalogued in his site, some complete with instructions and sprue shots.
  • KG Wings
Southern drawl + great scale modeling is never a bad combo. Don’t let the name deceive you for Keith builds great armor too!.
  • On the Way Models
Probably the best 1/72 Armour reference site out there. The kit list and the reviews are a definitely must before getting that obscure kit what you don’t know anything about.
  • Editorial Manutara
Blog in Spanish centered on Chilean aeronautical history mostly. Some very interesting and well written articles of rather little known or downright obscure subjects. Most recommended!
  • Plastic Soldier Review
This site is super useful for those wanting to buy Braille scale troops. It will provide you with enough information on what is inside those  1/72(ish) figure boxes!.
  • Toadman’s tank Pictures
Huge collection of high quality armour pictures. Chris “Toadman” Hughes also runs a Scale Modeling Blog
